Fatzer Smart Service Summit 2026

Beyond Monitoring | Driving Operational Growth through Smart Services

From May 20 to 22, 2026, this year’s Fatzer Smart Service Summit took place in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada. Under the guiding theme “Beyond Monitoring | Driving Operational Growth through Smart Services”, the summit once again brought together international operators, manufacturers, infrastructure partners, and industry thought leaders from the fields of mobility, ropeways, and smart services.

In 2026, claystreetX once again joined the event as a strategic partner, supporting Fatzer in the development, moderation, and further evolution of the summit format. Together with industry leaders from North America and Europe, the three-day event created an intensive exchange on the future of smart services, going far beyond traditional monitoring solutions.

Following the successful editions in Orlando in 2024 and Toronto in 2025, the 2026 summit continued to evolve with an even stronger focus on Operational Excellence, Human Factors, and the connection between technology, organization, and operational implementation.

Three key themes particularly shaped the discussions throughout the summit:

The Human Factor as the key success element of every smart service strategy
Technology creates opportunities, but real transformation is driven by people, culture, and leadership.

Closing the Gap between Observation and Action
Monitoring and data only create real value when they lead to concrete decisions and operational actions.

Fatzer Smart Service as Orchestrator
Smart Service was not only understood as a technology platform, but as the connecting element between people, processes, and operational excellence.

A special highlight was the technical tour to Whistler Blackcomb, providing exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into one of North America’s leading ropeway destinations. The program was complemented by numerous expert presentations, discussions, and networking sessions in Vancouver and Whistler.

Among the participants were:

  • Whistler Blackcomb | Vail Resorts
  • TransLink Vancouver
  • ZF Group
  • Parsons Corporation
  • Doppelmayr Canada
  • Leitner-Poma of America
  • Holmes Solutions
  • Cypress Mountain
  • Sea to Sky Gondola
  • Remec AG
  • Kistler Group
  • TRUcompany AG
  • Fatzer AG
  • WGD Consulting
  • SCJ Alliance
  • Banff Sunshine Village
  • Palm Springs Tramway
  • Rocky Mountain Lift Services

…and many more operators, planners, infrastructure partners, and smart service specialists.

The Fatzer Smart Service Summit 2026 once again demonstrated that the future of smart services is not driven by technology alone, but by the intelligent connection between data, operational responsibility, and human collaboration.

We would like to thank Fatzer for the strong partnership, as well as all participants, speakers, and partners for the open exchange, inspiring discussions, and the outstanding atmosphere in Vancouver and Whistler.
