Innovative Transport Systems in Public Transport | Insights from Frankfurt

On March 23, 2026, claystreetX participated in the conference “Innovative Transport Systems in Public Transport of the Future” at the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) in Frankfurt.

The central question of the event focused on how new modes of transport such as cable cars, autonomous on-demand systems, or high-speed ferries can be effectively integrated into existing public transport systems.

Against the backdrop of increasing demands for climate protection, land-use efficiency, and infrastructure capacity, it became clear that the future of mobility does not lie in individual systems, but in the interaction of different modes of transport within a multimodal ecosystem.

In addition to technical insights into specific technologies, the conference also emphasized key implementation factors, including regulatory requirements, financing models, and organizational challenges.

Our Perspective
For claystreetX, it once again confirms that innovative transport systems, particularly urban cable cars, hold significant potential for the further development of public transport. However, success depends not only on the technology itself, but on its integration into existing systems as well as a clear operational and economic framework.

The conference provided valuable insights, practical examples, and an intensive exchange with representatives from industry, government, and universities.

We look forward to incorporating these insights into our ongoing projects and actively contributing to the development of new, scalable mobility solutions.
